Yorkshire RFU has two Representatives who are elected by the Clubs in the County to sit on the RFU Council. They also participate in Sub-Committees of the RFU which report to the Community Game Board. Keep checking back on a monthly basis as your Reps keep you up to date with relevant matters from the RFU.

RFU Council is due to meet on Friday, 5th February. CGB met on January 27th and is scheduled to meet again on 2nd March.  CGB is currently looking at the vexed issue of budgets for season 21/22

Once again, both Jim and Ted hope that you are Staying Safe and Staying Healthy. The situation regarding any Return to Rugby does not look particularly rosy at the moment with the pandemic showing little sign of easing. Hopefully, the advent of vaccines will begin to have an effect and we will be able to arrange both friendly and cluster fixtures, albeit under adapted laws.

Sadly, there is little to report this month. Whilst meetings continue (see below) we still await anything like good news on a return to normal life.  Until this occurs there is little chance of Community Sport making any kind of return.  Needless to say the RFU continue to have regular communication with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Public Health England (PHE) regarding the current situation.

We look forward to providing some more welcome news at the end of February, in the meantime we hope that everyone involved in the Game follows Government guidelines.
